STYLE GURU BIO: Annalise Crescenzo

Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Annalise Crescenzo and it’s bitter sweet to say this is my sixth and last season as a Style Guru. Through CollegeFashionista I have been able to connect with amazing and talented Style Gurus across the country that share a passion for fashion. I have gained an amazing guru gang support system that I will cherish forever. This spring I will be graduating from SUNY Oswego with a marketing degree. After graduation, I hope to land a job in NYC working as a fashion buyer and merchandiser. I’m excited to combine my creative eye and love for fashion in my post-grad life.

I’ve always had a passion for fashion. My middle school and high school uniform couldn’t limit my style. Trying to figure out ways to spunk up my uniform became a daily task. I would consider my closet one that is versatile. I would describe my style as constantly changing. One day I can be wearing my leggings and a vintage band T-shirt, and the next day I’ll be wearing a leather skirt and thigh-high boots. My make-up, music, and event all affect my outfit when I’m getting dressed for the day.

No matter what season it is, my style is always trendy and fun. Clothes are my biggest weakness. The moment I walk into a store I’m looking at every article of clothing thinking about what pieces I can pair to make an outfit and the event I would wear it to. Incorporating unique pieces into my closet is my guilty pleasure. I love experimenting with new, bold trends.

The outfit featured is one of my bolder looks. I have been obsessed with these lace-up leggings since I saw celebrities such as Kim Kardashian wearing them. Once I spotted these leggings I had to have them. I paired a simple white T-shirt to balance out the busy lacing detail of the leggings. To keep with the bold glam look, I added a faux fur coat. The jacket adds some color and pattern to my outfit. I loved this look!

I can’t wait to share my style with you all as a Style Guru. Every day your style is a powerful way to express yourself and your mood. With fashion, it’s essential to stay true to you but also to take risks!
