If there’s one thing that living in a fast-paced city has taught me, it’s that nothing is permanent; just like my style. My style is ever-changing and easily influenced by what I see on the streets of my home in Brooklyn, New York or even in the corners of my second home in Waterville, Maine. And boy, could these two places be any different.
As I am entering my junior year at Colby College, I couldn’t be more psyched to be spending my summer living in a part of the fashion capital of the world. I’m constantly on the lookout for the many styles that meld together into the city that I call home. Now that I have this awesome opportunity with CollegeFashionista, I am so exited to report back on what I find. I’ll be using the photography skills that I’ve learned over the years ranging from courses to internships in combination with my writing skills that I’ve learned as an English and Psychology major.
Although I’ve already stated, and will continue to state, that I have no definitive style, if I had to loosely describe my style, I’d say that I tend to stick with a somewhat vintage-inspired, even sometimes boho look. I often find myself wearing tops my mother would wear when she was my age. I am a freak for going into vintage stores (feeling like I’ve stepped out of a time machine) and then finding the perfect pair of pants (which I’ll be doing a lot of that this summer).
Get ready for an exciting, fashion-forward summer!
