STYLE GURU BIO: Anna Montag

Hey there fashion friends! My name is Anna and I am now a senior at University of Nebraska- Lincoln. I am majoring in fashion merchandising and minoring in business. My plan for my future career is to open up my own boutique in my hometown Omaha. But, who knows, maybe I’ll go on to start my own fashion empire.

Now that we have got the basics out of the way, here are the facts that tell you who I really am. I was born to shop, but forced to work. I enjoy road trips, a good book, boating and the occasional mimosa. In the summer you can find me hanging out at the pool or strolling around downtown window-shopping. If you could sum up my life into one quote, it would have to be “Life’s too short to wear boring clothes” – Cushnie et Ochs. Fashion has always played a huge part in my life and I don’t think that will be changing anytime soon. I think my favorite thing about fashion is that there is a story/memory behind every outfit, so essentially you are telling your life story through your clothes. I can’t wait to capture these stories and memories throughout this internship. I am ready to learn so much more about the world of fashion and to hopefully teach a few people from time to time. I leave you with words from Coco Chanel: “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.” Stay stylish my friends, and always: Go Big Red.
