Hello everyone, I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Anais Dominguez and I am a rising sophomore at University of California Santa Cruz majoring in Neuroscience. I am originally from Miami, Florida but a California child at heart. This is my first semester on CollegeFashionista and I am beyond excited to be a part of this amazing team.
Growing up I didn’t always have a passion for fashion. I always strived for something easy and comfortable. My mom had to bribe me to wear something that wasn’t shorts and a graphic T-shirt. I did not become interested in fashion until high school when I discovered the world of YouTube and began to watch countless hours of beauty and fashion gurus. I quickly became interested in exploring the world of fashion and finding my own style.
My dad moved to Los Angeles, California when I was ten years old so ever since I would spend almost every summer there with him. Being able to live on the East Coast and travel frequently to the West Coast definitely influenced my style. I describe my style as tropical bohemian. My closet is full of tropical shirts, long and flowing bottoms and anything with a floral print on it.
In the outfit I am wearing today, I paired a paisley printed shirt with a black skater skirt, which is a staple item in my wardrobe. I wore studded gladiator sandals that matched perfectly with my black studded Steve Madden cross-body purse. I usually keep my jewelry simple with a small necklace and one or two beaded bracelets.
