Hey there all of you RAD Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m back for my third semester with CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be more excited. If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in all my time as a Style Guru, it’s that stylish students flood college campuses across the country and around the world. You don’t necessarily need to travel very far to be inspired to change up your wardrobe; just leave your dorm or travel around the quad to find your campus Fashionista or Fashionisto!

As I start my second semester of my junior year at Mercyhurst University, I’ve come to realize that despite the fact that most students prefer comfort over style when it comes to dressing up for classes, I’m not one of those people. I’m not comfortable if I haven’t put a conscientious effort into my look for the day, and even if that means accessorizing a crewneck sweatshirt, I must do it.

With the winter months, my desire also grows to hibernate and binge watch things on Netflix. Due to this, my style tends to mutate to reflect the style of the characters in the shows and movies I have been watching. Just know that if I decide to sport a linebacker blazer, I’m guilty of watching Heathers for the umpteenth time.

In this particular look, I was influenced by alternative styles and the off-duty model look that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are infamous for sporting. I combined a camel-colored blazer coat with wide lapels with a sassy graphic T-shirt to create a dressed-up casual vibe. I then paired it all with light wash jeans to contrast the color in a retro ’90s-inspired way. Then of course, I completed the look with my go-to accessory choice—statement ear jackets.

I’m thrilled to spend another semester with all of you extremely style savvy gurus. Keep your eyes peeled for some seriously fashionable Fashionistas and Fashionistos coming your way soon; I can’t wait to share my trendy campus with you!
