STYLE GURU BIO: Amanda Peterson

Greetings fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos!

My name is Amanda Peterson. I am senior journalism and public relations major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I also have a minor in business administration and I am pursuing a certificate in French. I have a vast appreciation for everything and am in a complicated relationship with the Oxford comma.

This is my third semester with CollegeFashionista and I’m excited to improve and share a bit of my world with you. Outside from my work with CollegeFashionista, I have worked as an intern for my university’s website, a writing tutor, and as an advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. I am now a digital media assistant for Gazette Media and Marketing.

My career interests include working in web development, writing, fashion, business, higher education, nonprofits, and fundraising. I have a wide array of interests that could span the world twice over and I few that as a huge asset to me in my future pursuits.

My style is very eclectic. One day I’ll be rocking monograms and bright red lips and the next I’ll be rocking black and dark lipstick. In fact, in these pictures, I am wearing one of my favorite lipstick shades:  Vampira from Kat Von D’s collection of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick which comes in 28 different shades.

I usually don’t, or rather, can’t rock a turtleneck but I can make an exception for this cream colored one. Plus, I like the contrast of the white sweater with the dark lips. I paired this turtle neck with one of my favorite high waist black pants with button details.

My necklace is from Alex and Ani, one brand that I love immensely. I am wearing the phoenix charm, which represents strength and rebirth. I like the symbolic meanings behind each different piece. I polished off this outfit with my favorite pair of heeled boots.

Here’s to another great semester!
