STYLE GURU BIO: Alyssa Seda

My name is Alyssa Seda and I am currently a senior at Hunter College, located in the Lenox Hill neighborhood of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. You must be wondering what it’s like to live in one of the busiest neighborhoods of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Well, I can tell you. I was born and raised in Manhattan so I know the island pretty well.

As one of New York City’s oldest neighborhoods, Upper Manhattan offers an intriguing contrast of sights: soaring skyscrapers and bustling sidewalks paired with winding cobblestone alleys and picturesque parks. With my school located so close to Central Park I can’t help but take in the beauty of its location. People watching has always been something I loved to do. In New York City you can find a wide range of uniquely beautiful people, all different in their own way. You can definitely see this through the outfits people choose to wear. New York City will always be a very busy place.

As a media major and English minor I enjoy sharing moments such as New York’s hidden treasures. Whether that is through pictures or writing on my blog, I think it is great when we can share beautiful experiences and ideas with one another. Although I was born in Manhattan I have an immense love for the outdoors and seek adventure. It is always good to take time to wind down from the business the city brings. Serving as a Style Guru for the second time I am privileged to share my experiences and love for fashion with you all.

I know all of you Fashionistas/os must feel as excited as I do about this upcoming school year. Let’s have a RAD fall semester and kick things into gear by sharing our latest outfits. My Bohemian themed flared shorts from a discounted store called Ross is by far my favorite. You can find similar ones in Brandy Melville. Pair these shorts up with any shirt and sandals and you’re good to go.
