This is my third semester interning for College Fashionista. It is such an amazing thing to be apart of the College Fashionista family. The past two semesters I have met so many people and made many connections. My favorite part of all of this is making someone’s day by walking up to him or her and asks to take his or her picture.
I am a Fashion Merchandising major with a Marketing minor. I am a junior year at Radford University. My dream is to work on a creative team for one of my favorite designers in New York City. I love advertising, print work, sales and merchandising; but product branding and development is my true calling. Making the journey to the small town of Radford, Virginia was more than a culture shock, but also a style shock. It helped make me into a more independent person, and my style grew with me as well.
I added quite a bit of people to my list of style icons, such as Poppy Delevigne, Dasha Zhukova and Rachel Parcell of Pink Peonies. They are modern and relate more to the public that follow them—plus they just dress so great!
My blog with Amy Kelly, Style Guru alum, has opened many doors along with CollegeFashionista. Who knew starting a fashion blog with your friend could become something more than a hobby. The most satisfying part of the whole thing has to be the growing support from our friends and loved ones, even fellow bloggers who have reached out to us.
I am so happy to be back and ready to scope out some Fashionista/os!
