Alyssa Cooper here, ready to serve you with all the happenings in college fashion! As a Fashion Business student at Columbia College Chicago, I am constantly inspired by my fellow peers on campus. Whether I am browsing a student art gallery, or people watching in the Gold Coast, I am always bound to find a new trend or styling combination that I love. When I am not exploring the busy city of Chicago, you can expect to find me curled up watching documentaries on Netflix or looking for new and exotic restaurants to try with friends.
Throughout my life I have always stalked fashion magazines and dreamt of working as a Fashionista in the big city, and after transferring to Columbia College this past year, I feel that I have really found my niche and polished my personal style. If I had to describe my style, I suppose I would say that it is classic and extremely girly. In most situations, I am usually the dressiest gal in the room, even when I am not sporting a pair of pumps or wedges. My go-to outfit would be along the lines of this Parisian inspired look: a classic kate spade jacket, simple pair of dark wash denim from H&M, a black and white striped tee, finished off with some sparkly kicks and a pop of color kate spade bag and accessories. I feel like a gal on the go in this look, and I always try to add a colorful statement piece in a generally neutral outfit.
Writing for CollegeFashionista’s STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK column this summer is a dream come true, and I am looking forward to sharing fellow student’s looks that will inspire a Fashionista/o’s style. I am on the hunt for new color combinations, accessories, silhouettes and beauty trends that will complete any outfit for a beautiful summer’s day. I am so excited for this learning experience and walking in the shoes of other amazing bloggers such as Gal Meets Glam, Song of Style and The Blonde Salad. Whether I am in Chicago or in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin this summer, I am here to bring my fellow fashion lovers the best of the best. Get ready ladies and gents; I am ready for takeoff!
