STYLE GURU BIO: Alma Gomez

Hello there, again! This is my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I’m happy to be back. I have learned a lot from being a Style Guru and it was so much fun that I decided I had to come back for the fall. Unfortunately, school is coming back, too. Don’t get me wrong, I’m ready to get back to my routine of going to class and hanging out with friends. It’s just that this year is my senior year at The University of Tampa! I never saw this coming as fast as it did, and it is so surreal.

Luckily, graduation is still a while away so I get to share my passion for fashion here a little longer! I started getting into fashion around middle school and since then my love for it has only grown stronger. I loved styling outfits based on my favorite television show characters, celebrities or magazines. For some reason, it took me years to realize that I should just pursue a career in the fashion industry. That realization led me to CollegeFashionista, writing my own blog and interning for a boutique!

Now that you know a little about me, I can share a little bit of my style. I have felt that my style is evolving, and I am loving it. I have been going towards pieces I normally would be intimidated by. These black booties are one of them. Not only are booties a staple piece for the fall season, but they make you feel like you can kick some butt! I paired them with a grey T-shirt dress because I love the look of booties with a dress. To top off the look, I wore a chunky gold chain necklace to add some edge.

I love putting together outfits and I can’t wait to show all the other Fashionistas/os who enjoy doing the same. It’s my last fall semester, so I’m going to make it my best one.
