STYLE GURU BIO: Allie DiBenedetto

Hi everyone! My name is Allie DiBenedetto and this is my third semester as a Style Guru! I could not be more excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team once again. Writing for CollegeFashionista is definitely a part of who I am now and I am forever grateful to have this experience.

As I can not seem to express enough, fashion is my entire life. As I am moving towards my second semester of my sophomore year at the University of Rhode Island, the love affair I have with fashion is quickly turning into a reality. The dream I have to move to New York City, one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world, is approaching sooner than I can even believe. I have been spending a lot of time in NYC this past year and I find myself falling more in love everyday with the atmosphere. One of the main reasons I love to write for CollegeFashionista so much is because I love being able to inspire my readers the way others inspire me. Just by taking one step into the city the inspiration fills my entire body and I would not be where I am today without it.

My style is constantly changing with the seasons and the latest trends, but I always make sure to show my personality within my look. My absolute obsession these days is fur. From fur vests, to fur jackets, to fur hats, I can not get enough! You can see in my picture I am wearing a maroon fur vest, which is one of my favorite pieces. I paired this over a black top and leather pants. Along with fur, I can not seem to live without booties. I have at least one pair of booties in every shape, size and color. I am wearing a pair of Sam Edelman booties with strappy silver buckles in my picture. This outfit is comfortable and simple yet trendy which is one of my go-to looks. My style remains slightly edgy with a girly chic flare and I believe it always will. I find myself always gravitating towards dark colors yet livening them up with a splash of striking color or an eye-catching accessory.

This semester I will be showcasing the looks of fellow Fashionistas/os on my campus and hopefully inspiring readers to express their style in every way they can. I am so excited to spend this semester writing for CollegeFashionista once again!
