Hello there, Fashionista/os! My name is Allie DeBor and I am pleased to announce that this is my third semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. While continuing my education at the happiest valley of all—Penn State—I am now a junior studying Public Relations with a double minor in Business and Psychology. When I’m not tackling my many homework assignments, I love to dive into anything fashion related. With managing Penn State’s fashion and lifestyle blog and doing marketing for the school magazine, I definitely keep myself busy and style focused.
This past summer, I had the privilege of interning for Pittsburgh Magazine, located in the steel city that I call home. I learned so much, met a ton of awesome people and was lucky enough to organize and run several premiere events throughout the city. When I wasn’t in the office, I also spent part of my time as a Style Guru and editor for CollegeFashionista. I had so much fun doing both of these and I definitely learned valuable skills to further me in my dreams of one day making it in the fashion industry. Even though lying by the pool catching rays wasn’t a huge part of my summer, I wouldn’t trade all of the hard work that I did for anything.
Since I was old enough to tie my own shoes, fashion has always been a passion of mine. Whether it was organizing pretend runway shows down my bedroom hallway, or reading through my mom’s monthly Vogue magazine, I think it’s safe to say I have always been style obsessed. I really find enjoyment in writing, photography and all things fashion. I cannot wait to continue pursuing all of these through CollegeFashionista.
This summer, I took you all into my closet and delivered my latest and greatest creations through my STYLE GURU STYLE posts every Tuesday. I can’t wait to see what CollegeFashionista has in store this semester, and what I will be showcasing to all of you.
So be on the look for my posts, and I look forward to bringing you all the best fashion trends seen here at Penn State!
