Oh, hey there! My name is Alicia, and I have a bit less than two years left until I earn a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management.
When I’m not at school or at work, I spend my time taking photos and writing posts for my personal style blog, Alicia Fuller, and filming videos for my YouTube channel, heartlicia.
I grew up in the slow-moving suburbs north of Chicago, and boy did I have a love/hate relationship with it. I loved the feel of a melting pot family town, but hated that no one had their own sense of style. It was like a scene from The Stepford Wives–everyone dressed the same! I didn’t want to look like everyone else, so I began developing my own style.
As cliché as it may sound, fashion has been a part of my life ever since I can remember, and it will be a part of my life forever! My favorite thing about fashion is personal style. I love that personal style is so expressive, and it helps people show off their individuality. I like to think that style is an extension of who you are, and you’re able to tell a lot about a person by the clothes that they wear and the tattoos that they may (or may not) have. I believe that everyone should wear what they choose to, and not feel pressured to follow what is “in.” There are no rules to personal style!
Over the past month or so, my Instagram feed has been filled with photos of me wearing stripes. Of course, I couldn’t resist throwing on a striped shirt and my white and black adidas Superstars for my STYLE GURU BIO! Always a classic, I’m definitely head-over-heels for black and white stripes this season. I also paired it with another one of my latest obsessions: mom jeans! I scored this pair from H&M for only 30 dollars, and they fit like a dream.
