STYLE GURU BIO: Alexis Salvatore

Hello fellow Fashionistas! My name is Alexis Salvatore and I am a freshman at Kent State University. I am currently studying Fashion Merchandising, and plan to minor in Marketing in the future.

Throughout my life, I have always been someone more on the creative side. I couldn’t imagine doing anything other than fashion. I have always been interested in fashion, whether my dream was to be a designer, or a famous fashion editor (thanks to The Devil Wears Prada). I went back and forth between business and fashion and decided to pursue both. I plan on becoming a fashion buyer in the future, living in New York or L.A..

Enough about me, let’s talk about what we are all here for, the love of fashion. My style differs according to season. In the summer you may catch me wearing more of a bohemian style, but in fall or winter you might catch me in neutral colors with a pop of color. My style is not defined, which is very similarly to my crazy personality. I believe you don’t have to define your style, you just have to rock whatever you want to wear, and what makes you happy.

In this outfit, I threw on a light T-shirt style dress, with a bold leather sleeve. This dress is my go-to look for fall and winter. It is easy to throw together but also looks like you spent time on it. I paired the outfit with my new (black Friday purchase, which was a steal) knee- high boots and accessorized the boots with a pair of knee-high socks. This look can be worn with tights or leggings, but because of the unexpected warm weather this year, can be worn without tights.

I look forward to my opportunity with CollegeFashionista and can’t wait to see what the future holds. “May your clothes be comfy, your coffee be strong and your Monday be short.”
