STYLE GURU BIO: Alexa Reyes-Erazo

Hello, dear Fashionistas/os. My name is Alexa Reyes. I am currently at Chesapeake College approaching an Associates in Business & Accounting. As this fall semester begins I am thrilled to be a part of CollegeFashionista, I am incredibly grateful because it’s a big door that has opened.

I like to describe myself as a timid and at times very approachable person but don’t get me wrong I am fearless in a fashionable way. My love for fashion started at the age of seven years old. I remember as a little girl my grandmother would put together dresses and skirts for me from the ripped clothing my cousins couldn’t use any longer. I remember sitting with her until midnight when she was close to finishing, just so that I could try on the beautiful dresses she sewed. In my heart my grandmother is tattooed sitting at the sewing machine stitching something together for her baby girl. Thanks grandma, for showing me that money can only take you so far but hard work that can take you anywhere. BTW! I loved the clothing she put together for me and as I became older I passed them down to my younger cousins. Since then, my love for fashion has grown and evolved with the years and maturity.

Playing around with articles of clothing and fashion trends is a low key way of letting my personality come through. My fashion go-to trends can go from very classy, tight fitted dark skirts with laced patterns and a warm tone silk flat open shoulder blouse with few accessories and black wedges. As well as a very comfortable and unsettled style that anyone can wear. Like the style I’m rocking in this article. I have a light brown button up blouse paired with light blue skinny jeans. For shoes, I am wearing Halogens tan and pewter pointed toe flats. I must admit I am an accessories chick. To conclude this look, I picked brown tortoise shell sunglasses folded onto my top. This style is very comfortable and easy to put together, literally took me five minutes to put together before I headed to class.

Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube and the CollegeFashionista Snapchat are my inspirational resources. They have my back whenever I have a style in mind but can’t seem to complete the look. My favorite hobbies are listening to music, reading, writing, social media and of course Shopping! I’m very excited to be a part of CollegeFashionista and can’t wait to see all of the other Style Gurus tips and tricks on fashion. Let’s get this fashion show started!
