STYLE GURU BIO: Aisha Hatter

Style Guru Bio

So, you also hate it when people wear pajamas to class too? We’re going to get along famously. My name is Aisha, I’m 21 and I’m kind of not supposed to be here, but I am. The lovely people at the University of South Florida hooked me up by letting me walk this past spring, even though I still had five more credits to take during the summer. Although I’ve already walked at the commencement ceremony, I technically haven’t graduated yet. When the spring semester was coming to an end, I started getting  a little upset about the idea of not writing for CollegeFashonista anymore. Luckily, they’re allowing me to stay on and write for them for summer, which will be my third and final semester as a Style Guru. I know, I’m crying too.

Last December I emailed Amy and asked her if there were any internship opportunities at CollegeFashionista’s NYC office for summer. She told me to get back to her in February, so I did and I was lucky enough to be accepted as one of their marketing interns for summer. I’ve garnered such a strong relationship with CollegeFashionista over the past few semesters, and I wanted to get to know the company on a deeper level. This summer, I’ll be adventuring around NYC while interning with CollegeFashionsta and Marie Claire. I’m living out a personal dream of mine and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come. Check out my personal blog, Stellar Piece, to follow all of my adventures.

This semester, I’ll be writing for Thursday’s column, WHAT TO WEAR. I can’t wait to document some serious NYC style. Fashion is such a huge part of this city’s culture. My favorite trends that I’ve seen around here so far are influenced by the normcore wave. Tons of denim jackets, leather slip-ons, braids, Birkenstocks and plain T-shirts. Basically, the goal is to look like you just rolled out of bed, but are still cool as hell.

So, if you ever need to know what to wear to an internship, to brunch or on a date with that guy from Tinder who looks moderately decent in one of his photos, I’m your girl.
