My name is Adryanna Perez and I am a junior at Whittier College, studying business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management. This will be my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am excited to write the new WHAT TO WEAR column every Thursday.
I am Mexican-American, born and raised in Southern California, where Orange County beaches and the heart of Los Angeles is only a short drive away. This meant that I got to experience so many cultures and lifestyles, which of course influenced my love for fashion growing up. It made me realize at an early age that there is more to fashion than just trends and what I read in magazines. It is an opportunity to be unique and create a sense of individuality in this crowded world. I do this by defining my style as classic and feminine with a youthful twist. My go to outfit for spring will be colored denim paired with classic colored sweaters and blouses with feminine patterns.
This is why CollegeFashionista is so important to me. I have the pleasure of spotting individuals who stylishly stand out in the crowd. I think one of the most rewarding things about being a Style Guru is when a Fashionista/o thanks you for noticing their carefully selected outfit. Let’s face it, it’s nice to be noticed for our stylish efforts and I am honored to be the person to do that for my fellow peers. I look forward to bringing you advice on WHAT TO WEAR for certain occasions and I am even more thrilled to highlight the Fashionista/o’s at Whittier College.
