STYLE GURU BIO: Abby Haslett

May 30th, 2016 at 2:00am

Hello! My name is Abby Haslett and I will be a junior at Penn State University. I am a marketing major in the Smeal College of Business with a focus in retail. I am so excited to intern with CollegeFashionista for a second semester and cannot wait for the warm weather and summer trends.

Currently, my personal style varies depending on my mood, ranging anywhere from boho to grunge. I gravitate toward neutral colors and have found a new love for olive green as one of those neutrals. I believe that there is no such thing as having too many shoes. I take pride in my VIB Rouge status at Sephora and own more makeup than any college student should.

A goal I have for this summer semester is to step out of my comfort zone and try new trends like flared jeans. My favorite makeup look is adding a highlighted glow to the skin and my favorite fashion trend is off-the-shoulder tops.

While most people enjoy the warm weather, summer can be unbearably hot and humid which is an annoyance for those with frizzy hair, an oily T-zone and clothing material that is clingy or too thick. Look no further as I am thrilled to begin this summer semester with Fashionistas/os, by sharing our fashion advice and beauty tips.

Recreating my look is simple; all you need is your favorite pair of jeans, a lace-up tank and a crochet choker for a fun bohemian look like mine. For those chilly days or bonfire nights add a lightweight cardigan to complete the look.
