STYLE ADVICE: Shades of Spring

April 27th, 2017 at 2:00am

The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, the sky is blue, the temperature outside has warmed up, and fashion trends are evolving. That’s right, spring has sprung, and you know what that means. Time to twirl around in your floral dresses, flaunt your favorite jewelry pieces, and pamper your face with your cutest pink lipstick.  Maybe it’s the new fashion or beauty trends, the warmer weather, the beautiful flowers in bloom, or the feeling of a brand new season that makes spring so special. Whatever it may be, there’s something about spring that makes it such a light and happy season, and much of that is reflected in spring fashion. Spring is one of my absolute favorite seasons for fashion. The color, patterns, and styles of spring never fail to catch someone’s eye. Hello spring, it’s been way too long.

I spotted this Fashionista around campus sporting the ultimate spring look on a beautiful sunny day. From her soft-looking makeup all the way down to her red mini booties, she embodies spring in all of its loveliness. To recreate this look, a floral dress and mini booties pair together perfectly. Floral dresses are absolutely amazing because the floral pattern matches well with many other colors making it easy to pair with different color accessories, shoes, or makeup looks. To compliment the outfit I’d highly recommend, pink lipstick and nude eyeshadow because they are excellent for adding a nice pop of color while also creating a soft spring look.

This spring, I encourage everyone to flaunt a new look, try a new style you’ve debated on for a while, or add a little something different to your beauty or fashion routine. Go bold with prints and colors, express yourself through what you wear, and feel confident in your look. It’s a new season, and there is no better time to try something new.
