STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Your Go-To Fall Outfit For When You're Running Late For Class

November 3rd, 2016 at 2:00am

Its 7:00 a.m. and you’re running late. You have a dreaded 8:00 a.m., and you’re meeting with your friends for lunch right after. There’s no way you are going to figure out what to wear in the 30 minutes you have left to get ready before you have to race off to class. You’re going to have to throw on leggings again—great.

You could do that, or you could wear the “go-to” simple fall outfit that is just as easy to put together as a T-shirt and leggings. It’s chic, always in style and can be worn on any casual occasion! Sometimes we over think our outfits, and we question ourselves. Am I trending? Is this outfit too boring? There is a time and place for extravagant outfits with many layers and dimensions, but in high pressure situations like this, think simple and refer back to the basics!

A white T-shirt is a classic staple that every girl should have in her closet. A plain white T-shirt can be dressed up, or down and worn with pretty much any pair of pants or a skirt! Pair this T-shirt with your favorite jeans, and you are off to a great start. Sound too boring? Just wait.

A chain-link layered necklace in silver or gold is a great addition to glam it up. Every outfit needs at least one or two layering pieces, so keep it simple and add a light, army-green jacket to throw on if it gets chilly. Still feel like this outfit is too blah? That’s where the shoes come in. A chunky-heeled booty can really spice up the look and take the outfit from super casual to cute enough for lunch with the girls. Throw on your cat-eyed sunnies for a fiercer look and you’re set.

See how easy that was? Now get to class, you’re going to be late.
