STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Winter White Wonderland

There’s no denying that winter white has been a major trend this season. Normally, wearing white after Labor Day is a huge fashion faux pas, but this year it’s highly encouraged. From magazines, celebrity candids and clothing stores, winter whites are everywhere. Have you indulged in this sweet new trend yet?

White has normally been reserved for the warmer months when our skin tones aren’t so close to the white. But embracing our pale skin and complementing it with white seems to be a trend that isn’t going to go away anytime soon. The best thing about this trend is that white matches anything and everything. It can be paired with any color and any pattern. Winter white can be done in a variety of styles: playful and girly, dainty and delicate or fun and unique. It is so versatile, making it so easy to individualize this trend to your own personal style.

This Fashionista incorporated this trend into a simple, everyday look perfect for class or hitting the books at the library. She keeps the main winter white piece a cable knit sweater and builds her entire outfit around it. She pairs it with a fur lined jacket to battle the cold and a gorgeous neutral-toned statement necklace. I love how this necklace pops on top of the white sweater. She keeps it simple and casual with blue jeans but has some fun with the bold patterns on her mittens and boots. Hints of winter white can be found throughout her entire look, which ties it all together perfectly. With no limitations on colors and patterns, it’s nearly impossible to go wrong with winter white.
