STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Winter Classics

Hello fellow Fashionistas! I hope you’ve survived the first of the year and all of your New Year’s resolutions are still going strong. For all of us in the Pacific Northwest, Mother Nature has decided to shower us in her love—literally. Braving Oregon’s rainy days is hard without a doubt. Those wet, dreary days have a way of making us dread rolling out of our toasty warm beds and put our best foot forward, but this Fashionista has figured out how to dance in the rain (and look good doing it).

I caught this girl on her way to brunch and couldn’t resist getting some style advice for you all. For this Fashionista, the rain gives her the perfect excuse to pull out her favorite accessory. This clear bubble umbrella is the perfect way to get around without getting entirely drenched or poking your neighbors in the eye. I like to think of it as a personal rain-free bubble that makes it possible to wear your favorite winter classics.

During the winter months, while this Fashionista is running around under her rainproof bubble, she tends to stick to the basics. You can never go wrong with black and white. No matter the day, event or time, these timeless colors will have your back. They are classic colors that flatter almost any body type and give you the freedom to accessorize any way you wish.  In this look, she pairs her favorite leather jacket and white pants with all black accessories. Having these closet staples makes it easy to throw an outfit together and get out the door in a dash.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “You can’t go wrong with black and white. They’re the easiest pieces to mix and match and look put together.”
