STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Venomous Fashion

Reptile patterns are not for the faint of heart; it takes daring Fashionista/os to pull the look off. Sometimes people can go overboard with the trend; however, there is still hope for those who shy away from the decorative design. Snakeskin’s textured surface allows for intriguing variances of colors and shades that can range from an edgy look to one that is sexy, chic and classy.

Snakes used to be revered as a symbol of power, mischief, healers, fertility, rebirth and God-like. The snake symbol, whether it be the physical form or the skin fabric, has been showcased in history from eras before. Snakes were represented in Egyptian Pharaohs cave paintings, Eastern Indian deity imagery, Native American tribal stories and pictures as well through biblical teachings. So it’s no surprise that it has been incorporated through fashion in different forms throughout the years.

This Fashionista wore her python in the perfect proportions. Her snakeskin shoes and purse were a paradisiac pair, complementing one another.  She brilliantly added the pinch of snake pattern of diamonds to another diamond sequined dress. You can easily adopt this look by simply combining a diamond patterned dress with these Louboutin snakeskin pumps and Carrie Dunham clutch purse. I adore how her whole outfit is wrapped up into perfection by the accentuated little crisscross bows at the end of her shoes.
