Fall and leather are a match made in heaven! You can never go wrong with a sleek leather jacket or a comfortable yet sexy pair of leather leggings. But why settle for just one? This week’s Fashionista shows us the right way to wear double-leather in an all-black outfit that caught my eye.
Our Fashionista dares to wear leather-on-leather in an all-black ensemble with a colorful neon scarf. She mixes zippered ankle leggings from Charlotte Russe with a trendy black coat from Forever 21. Sears carries similar leggings by Kardashian Kollection, a clothing line by designers that would definitely approve of this outfit! Our Fashionista’s coat is the best part of her look with its quilted leather sleeves, wool body and gold zipper accents. For similar styles, ASOS has this leather collar coat or this funnel neckline coat.
Although it is not visible here, our Fashionista is wearing a simple black satin top from Topshop. When sporting leather leggings, or any leggings for that matter, I recommend pairing them with a longer shirt to cover the thin material on your backside. For instance, this racerback camisole from Topshop would cover the back of your leggings while still showing off the front. In colder weather try a simple black top with a twist like this peek-a-boo shoulder tunic from Urban Outfitters. Since her outfit is already sassy and bold, this Fashionista ties her look together with a pair of comfortable and chic suede flats from ASOS. To continue this outfit’s theme of leather accents, try these ASOS shoes with patent leather trim.
To break up the black with a pop of color, this Fashionista rocks a bold neon pink scarf from Forever 21. For other eye-catching neon colors, try this Forever 21 scarf in blue or yellow. She accessorizes with a pair of Gucci sunglasses, but you can find a more affordable version at Forever 21, like these D-Frame shades or these round sunglasses with stud accents.
Although our Fashionista is wearing a lot of leather, her look is polished and cool, not flashy. Follow her lead and mix in other materials like wool, suede and satin to balance out the boldness of your leather ensemble. Most importantly, wear your leather look with confidence!
