STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Tying Together Cute and Comfort

November is a time where the leaves are all bursting in colors before the transition into winter. It’s a month of warmth and love during Thanksgiving time, but concludes with chilly weather and the impending doom of final exams. The perfect November outfit is one that keeps you warm and comfortable, while still playing on the colors of fall.

This Fashionista, a senior communication student at Monmouth University, embodies this easy look, which is perfect for taking long walks in the brisk November air between classes. She pairs a basic white top with an oversized, flowy black cardigan. Putting the basic pieces we all have in our closets together creates new looks for us, while letting us rock our favorite, everyday clothing items.

With classic leggings (I wear my Victoria’s Secret leggings all the time!) and riding boots, she’s ready to grab a latte and head to the library. Her yellow scarf offers a splash of color that is absolutely perfect for fall; the same yellow hue of the leaves falling from the trees. Scarves are an easy and warm way to elevate our looks. After all, what feels better than wrapped a snug around your neck during a chill autumn day?

With her hair in gentle waves and her sharp black glasses in place, this Fashionista is prepared to thrive academically and fashionably. As the fall semester begins to draw to a close, we are spending so much time getting our lives together that it can be hard to find time to put together a stylish look for class. By implementing this Fashionista’s laid back style, we can all be look cute yet comfortable on our strolls with friends across campus.
