These days the less “matchy” your outfit is, the better. This Fashionista knows how to mix up her look with the perfect touches of turquoise. Pairing the turquoise necklace and earrings with other bright colors that don’t necessarily match brings a new meaning to the look. The bright colors may not match but they compliment each other which makes the outfit pop! With statement accessories like the necklace and earrings bring attention to the part of the outfit that the Fashionista wants the main focus to be on. Then the eye will then move to the other pieces of the look and see it all come together.
The next thing that this Fashionista got right was bringing in a nude sweater top. It’s a good idea to pair such bright colors and statement pieces with a neutral color to calm the outfit down to the point where it is pleasing and classic instead of too much at one time. The sweater eases an onlooker into the pop of the colors the Fashionista uses.
The maroon shorts are also a good touch to the outfit. The turquoise and maroon are a bit of an odd pairing, yet work off each other very well. They are both very earthy tones which allows the two colors to be shown off without being obnoxious or overwhelming.
For the main outfit the Fashionista pairs just the right amount of eye popping and neutral colors that it was a good idea to keep the shoes toned down as well. The neutral colored Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoe even adds a little bit of an old-timey and classic look. And with the silver watch and bracelet she extends the toned downed color from her top. The neutral colors are minimal yet do more for the outfit than one would realize.
My STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK would be for everyone to try out pairing turquoise statement pieces with another color that you might not have thought of before. But keep in mind that too much can be overwhelming and unwelcoming so keep a neutral tone in the mix as well.
