When the summer months come, sundresses everywhere rejoice. No longer are they covered by sweaters or subdued with tights, but left to shine on their own in the sun. On the other hand, combat boots tend to be the stars of winter and fall, but move to the back of our closets when the sun’s out. Both girly dresses and combat boots are two of my favorite fashion staples, and I often find myself torn between the two looks. Do I go grunge or stay sweet? Instead of limiting the love because of the seasons, this Fashionista asked the daring question, why not both?
Wearing a patterned sundress with edgy combat boots combines the best of both worlds. The look of wearing boots and dresses is fun and different. Experiment with a girly lace dress or try a flattering fit and flare. A chambray shirt dress works wonders with tough booties. Not only is wearing boots with a feminine dress stylish, but it is functional. High heels can only be worn for so long before feet start to ache.
This Fashionista looks ready to take on the town. Rocking a floral skater dress with her mid-calf combat boots, she is fiercely feminine. When the night comes, the Fashionista could easily put on a denim vest or wrap cardigan for extra warmth. Who says that you can’t have it all?
