STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Totally Over Overalls?

Overalls are back! This trend was popular in the ‘80s and ‘90s during the grunge movement, and I’m sure many of you were rocking these as little kids. I personally couldn’t stand it when my mom forced me to wear these as a kid, but in all honesty, I am beginning to love the look now! I think it’s awesome that the style is coming back in a different and more mature way and now the look is being worn by all ages.

So how exactly do you wear overalls without looking like a little kid? Let’s take a look at this Fashionista’s overall attire. This Fashionista is wearing what many stylists are calling “shortalls”, or overalls that are shorts instead of pants. She wore her overalls with an off-the-shoulder smocked, white crop-top, Converse, an arm cuff and red Ray-Bans. I personally love the high-top Converse and think that they really complete the ‘90s look. I am obsessed with the overalls as well and I would pair those with a fitted long sleeved shirt and platforms. I think that the key to this trend is making sure the shirt you wear underneath is simple and fitted as a baggy shirt with a loose neckline can look very awkward.

This is such a trendy, laid-back trend and I have to say I’m loving the comfort of the newest summer 2015 styles.
