STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: This Fashionista Means Business

Style Advice of the Week
Business casual has become a popular fashion trend amongst college students across the globe. Over the years business casual attire has changed from long dresses and tailored suites to dress pants and eye-catching blazers. As a matter of fact, the ’70s exemplified women’s ability to rock suits just as boldly as men! What’s great about dressing up is that it’s so easy to dress down if you need to. Personally, I love dressing professional and clean for my day of classes instead of rolling out of bed in my pajamas.
One staple item I adore on this photo-ready Fashionista is her electric blue blazer. This piece caught my eye instantly because of its vibrant color. Fortunately this Fashionista let us in on her secret and shared where she bought her blazer. She admitted that Banana Republic dominated this outfit with her blazer, pants and blouse all found at this retail shop. By pairing her blazer with an anchor-printed blouse this Fashionista added the perfect amount of print to her ensemble. The small anchors on her white blouse definitely complemented her dressy blazer. This Fashionista chose simple black wedges by Jessica Simpson and a cute leather backpack as an alternative to a purse to wear with her outfit.
Need a tip? My advice to you is pick your favorite color and rock it! With an outfit as simple and chic as this a blazer of any color can enhance your overall look. Also, the color of your hair has a lot to do with the outfit you wear. This Fashionista’s dark red hair looks perfect on top of her blue blazer. For blondes, try this emerald green blazer from Barneys New York. It’s a nice alternative to the electric blue. Now you have everything you need to mean business!
