STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: These Boots Were Made For Spikes

Style Advice of the Week

An oversized sweater, black leggings and cute boots: every college girl’s fashionable yet comfortable winter outfit. This Fashionista keeps it casual with a H&M sweater and simple black leggings, but adds some spice by wearing cap-toe- and heel-spiked combat boots. This is the perfect outfit for class, a quick coffee date with the girls or even a full day of studying in the library.

We all know that fall and winter are the perfect seasons for boots, whether they are tall riding boots, short ankle booties, motorcycle boots or combat boots. They pair perfectly with leggings, jeans, sweaters or T-shirts under leather jackets and peacoats. Boots are the ultimate style piece. This season however, the style of boots have gone against the norm and added spikes, studs, rhinestone designs and even animal prints to make every Fashionista’s wardrobe the most fabulous it has ever been.

Many Prague Fashionistas have turned to Zara, Mango and several other popular stores for their hardware boot fix this season. For American Fashionistas, places such as LuLu’s, DSW and GoJane have provided them with the perfect pair of spiked combat boots. The greatest thing about these boots is that not only can they be worn with pretty much any fall and winter outfit, but also they can be incorporated into upcoming spring outfits.

Make a statement this season by pairing a cute spring outfit (neon colored pieces are a big trend) with a pair of spiked combat boots such as a plain colored flowy dress, a skinny belt, a neon blazer and these bad boys. Your boots from the fall and winter will now add a little edge and make you the most stylish girl on campus this semester.
