Style Advice of the Week

Winter is at its highest and roughest peak, and black seems like it is your best friend. I don’t blame you because black is a chic and timeless color, but I think it is also important to give your winter wardrobe some color to keep things fresh. Forgetting black in the winter does not have to happen because after all, it is the best time of the year to display your favorite black clothing items. Adding another color to the black outfit can transform your entire look.

The Fashionista that I snapped a photo of, has got the right idea. She found a perfect way to incorporate the color black and another color, in this case being blue. The skirt she is wearing is the blue statement of the ensemble, and it truly makes the outfit pop. The handle bag that she accessorized with has a lot of blue and emphasizes the blue on the skirt. The purse is ideal for a college student because she can use the bag with the handles on the weekends, and has an attached strap for those class days to carry school supplies. The Fashionista is also wearing a simple black camisole, a black cardigan and black tights to protect her legs from the cold weather and lastly, some black ankle boots that have a small wedge. She topped off her outfit with a glamorous black statement necklace that makes it perfect to switch up from day to night.

This outfit can be redone with any other color and it is going to look just as great. Wear one article of clothing that has a bright color to make the entire color pop. Then add on an accessory that has some of that color to complete the look. You can wear the outfit to class, work or a night out on the town with the girlfriends. It is simple but it is going to look like you put more effort.
