STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Utility Of A Good Jacket

Style Advice of the Week

Cloudy and cold, this is what the few past days have consisted of. It’s my favorite kind of weather. Even though I live in central Texas I have always preferred fall and winter over spring and summer. I love wearing scarves (I probably have over 30), getting comfy in a sweater, using my dark denim, coats, using all kinds of hats and how could I forget about boots?

I was walking to the bus stop on my way to school and I saw this Fashionista wearing a utility green jacket. This jacket has been everywhere this fall and is one of those items in my closet that I love due to its versatility. You can style it in many different ways. This Fashionista was rocking her utility jacket with dark denim jeans, a black and white striped sweater and TOMS.

Like I said, I love the versatility of the utility jacket. I have worn mine in so many ways, from business casual where I style it with a black pencil skirt to a white T-shirt and my black stilettos. A playful look that I styled my jacket with is a cute floral dress, tights and my favorite boots. Or for a more casual look, I pair my jacket with my favorite jeans and black T-shirt, scarf and ankle boots.

To rock this look you can find this jacket at Madewell or for a more affordable look, you can always count on Forever21. If you don’t have a utility jacket I seriously advise that you make it your next purchase. Black denim jeans from American Eagle are the perfect addition if you want to go for the casual look.

At the end it doesn’t matter what kind of style you like to rock; you can make the utility jacket look good if you rock it with confidence.
