STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Transition to Fall

We all know this time of year too well, summer is coming to an end and fall is starting to show its presence. So, should we hold on to our summer style or merge into fall? The weather makes this choice about impossible. Mornings are chilly and dewy, but by afternoon, the sun is blazing and you end up being way too warm in the clothes you chose in the morning. So what exactly should you wear in this “transition” season?

When I saw this Fashionista, I knew she had her summer/fall transition outfit down. Although Labor Day has passed, who said you can’t break the rules and wear white anyways? This Fashionista’s white cropped jeans fit in perfectly with this transition look. They add a little lightness to her outfit while keeping her warm during those chilly mornings and evenings. Her black cropped tank top creates a perfect black and white look which is perfect for any season. Peeking out of her Express tank top is a black lace bralette. This adds a little extra texture and pattern to her simple choice of color and fabric. Her Michael Kors bag also adds a pop of color to her look. She kept her clothing color choices neutral so adding any bold color to her outfit would work well. Adding a cute pair of chunky earrings and some berry colored lipstick, she’s ready to rock a beautiful transition day!

So my advice for you: hold onto your summer wardrobe while you can. If you want to wear the crop top or bralette, wear them! Adding a jacket or sweater is a simple fix to a brisk morning. While we are all excited about pumpkin spice season, hold onto the summer while you can. There’s another eight months until next summer, you know you’ll miss your shorts.
