It is a truth acknowledged that a single girl in possession of good style will always stand out in a crowd. Especially in one where the weather confused victims have resorted to strange concoctions in order to keep up with Texas. All but our Fashionista today, who was smart enough to blend transitional items like sandals with tights, a breezy vintage blazer and beanie for an adorable outfit.
The power of a little black dress is also a universal truth, and the great strides it makes. With the recent South by Southwest, many of my fellow peers have ridden the influence of the East Coast visitors, and black has been especially predominant.
I loved this Fashionista today because she looked like a perfect Austinite representation that is ready to take on the next music festival with great comfort. Tackle her trick and you yourself pair a comfortable black dress with a stand out leopard blazer. Any black dress can do the trick, just find a proper length to fit your body. I am currently obsessed with this perfect leopard one from ASOS. It has the perfect length and boxiness to pair with a dress (like our Fashionista today) or with comfortable skinnies. I thought the way she paired a classic satchel with her outfit kept it from not looking classic. Cop a satchel like hers from Coach that can be transitioned easily from spring to fall and day to night.
And for the focus: her fantastic sandals. Last year, Phillip Lim released a versatile pair of strappy flat sandals that have recently been making their way to the mainstream. Our Fashionista today paired hers with tights and expanded their versatility. Jeffrey Campbell released a classy version with a high heel that can be made to look even more professional.
Don’t let the weather make you resort to terrible fashion choices, outsmart it with hacks like our Fashionista and you will surely be on your way.
