Style Advice of the Week

December is here and this only means one thing… FINALS. These last weeks of school are when everyone is rushing through their notes and studying for exams while spending hours and hours in the library or in the lab finishing projects, running on coffee and energy drinks. Trying to survive the last month of the semester is hard. People start slacking; they start wearing sweats and UGGs out to keep warm and comfortable, but not today’s Fashionista.

School was out and, like many of my peers, I’ve been spending too much time in school trying to finish all my projects just in time, and when I was on my way to finish one of my many final projects, I saw this Fashionista, looking fabulously chic, warm and comfortable in a shirtdress, gray leggings and a very warm knitted wrap. I was immediately jealous of her entire outfit. It is so hard to find people that can look good and stylish wearing a shawl and not look outdated.

My style advice this week: Don’t let finals make your outfit choices suffer. There are plenty of great choices to still feel comfortable and cozy this season. If you want to look as fabulous as today’s Fashionista is, I recommend this plaid flannel shirtdress from GAP, or if you want to splurge a little, this cotton shirtdress from Bloomingdale’s is the perfect option. If you are looking for new leggings, I recommend this pair from American Eagle; they’re on my Christmas wish list! As for the knitted wrap, I found the perfect replacement: a toggle cape from ASOS looks perfect for any occasion.

I hope you all do great on your exams and final projects while still looking fabulous!
