Everything was better in the ’90s. From cartoons to fashion you honestly could not go wrong. Designers are constantly bringing back fashions from the ’90s, and I am definitely not complaining.
In the spring of 2014 the unimaginable came back into style. My inner ’90s kid about exploded from joy. That would be the skort, aka envelope shorts. You may or may not think it’s a skort but it is. The envelope shorts are just a more adult, acceptable and classier version of the skort.
I don’t know why they ever went out of style but I’m so happy they’re back! You can dress them up or dress them down. They are basically the pant version of the mullet; business in the front and party in the back.
You can find envelope shorts in just about any color and pattern. Currently, you can get these shorts at Forever 21 for a reasonable price and in many colors. You can dress them up by putting on a blazer and heels or you can dress them down with a T-shirt and sandals.
I love the way this Fashionista dressed up her envelope shorts with a teal blouse and a statement necklace. Her floppy hat also brings a nice add of flare to the outfit. This outfit would be perfect for a day of running around the mall or for business casual if you throw a blazer over it.
What’s your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “It really is important to wear whatever you’re comfortable in.”
