Even though it may still be snowing where you are, it is in fact officially spring. This means it’s time to begin tucking away our leathers and heavy knits and bringing out our florals and bright colored pieces. With the unseasonably cold front still hitting many part of the country, I wouldn’t recommend that everybody should completely throw themselves into spring and start whipping out mini dresses and denim shorts, but it’s definitely time to at least give spring a little hello.
This Fashionista found a way to incorporate in her outfit a little nod to spring but without being inappropriately dressed for the still chilly weather. She keeps the base of her outfit firmly rooted in the winter with big brown boots, a good pair of skinny jeans an army green top and a cream knit. However her vintage floral bag, although still matching her winter outfit, offers a little piece of spring to her look.
The bag that the Fashionista is rocking is an actual vintage bag that she snatched up from a thrift store in New York City, but if you don’t want to go hunting in your town or on eBay for a similar piece then there are alternatives. ModCloth offers a similar floral tapestry bag, as does Tilly’s and even Dolce&Gabbana.
There is nothing I hate more than when I see someone doting flip flops in 60 degree weather or the overwhelming amount of skin that my eyes are subjected to on the first warm day of the season. Instead, I believe that it’s best to ease into a new season, and this Fashionista does just that by choosing a subtly colored floral bag. Of course, as the warmer weather moves in the florals can get bigger and brighter, but for now following in this Fashionista’s footsteps is the best way to enter the new season.
