STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sweater Weather

Fall weather in Ohio is hands down the most beautiful time of the year, and girls wait 365 days to break out their fall wardrobes—complete with pumpkin spice lattes in hand. Unfortunately, for us Ohioans, fall weather likes to slowly creep in, going from 80 degree heat one day to a cool 60 degrees the next. If you’re like most college girls though, myself included, you break out the cozy sweaters and boots the first chance you get! The Weeknd couldn’t have sang it any better when he said, “I come alive in the fall time, I.”

My question is how can you not come alive in the fall time? From blanket scarves and floppy hats to over-the-knee boots—and most importantly of all, as you can probably guess… SWEATERS! What better way to bring in the fall spirit than throwing on your favorite chunky sweater?

This Fashionista nails the cozy sweater trend while rocking the perfect outfit for a transitional fall day. Pairing a cream colored cable knit sweater with a gorgeous burnt orange suede mini skirt is the epitome of fall colors. Strutting across campus in a pair of lace-up peep toe booties gives this look a chic spin, as opposed to a more casual riding or combat boot. Some colorful accessories complete the look: adding a turquoise stone necklace for a pop of color, a light pink bracelet and simple gold studs. This Fashionista adds one final touch to her look: a structured black purse with gold accents, slung over the shoulder making her ready for a beautiful fall day filled with pumpkin lattes and dancing through the leaves!

Fall clothes can sometimes be bland, but you can never go wrong with an accessory to give the right pop of color to your look.
