Style Advice of the Week

Being a native California girl, warm, sunny weather is what I have always been used to and love. But, as much as I love my cutoff shorts, sundresses and sandals, I always get excited when the chilly weather begins and I can break out my winter wardrobe. One of my favorite things about winter is being able to wear all of my comfy oversized sweaters. Living in London where the weather started to become cold very early, I have found that most of my outfits always include a sweater. Usually, it takes me a while to come up with an outfit in the winter months, but with sweaters, it’s so easy. It takes little effort to throw on a sweater, leggings and boots and still look stylish.

I spotted this Fashionista on a chilly day wearing an oversized cream sweater detailed with sequined sleevs. She put a fur vest over it and paired it with jeans and booties. It’s also very easy to accessorize with sweaters by adding a scarf and a couple pieces of jewelry. There are many different styles of sweaters like crewneck, turtleneck, cardigans and oversized. Crewneck and turtleneck are more of a classic style that conveys a more polished look. I especially love oversized sweaters because they are flattering on every body type. Some of my favorite sweaters in my closet are from Free People. They make the softest sweaters but with interesting patterns and designs. Having staple-colored sweaters are also great because they are easy to mix and match. Whatever style you prefer, sweaters are the ultimate winter wardrobe staple that every Fashionista should have in her closet!
