STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Summer Showers Create Summer Flowers

We have all gone through moments where the weather can be a little unpredictable; it rains all of a sudden one day, and all outfit plans you made are completely thrown out the window.  If things do decide to happen like this, don’t throw in the towel just yet on your look.

Here in Indiana, the weather could change in an instant. It’s something we all get used to after a while, but it still catches us off guard. Throughout the week, however, students continued to enjoy the warm weather and the morning rain did not stop this Fashionista from wearing her beautifully put together outfit.

The piece that drew my attention to her at first glance was her floral pants from T.J. Maxx. The wind picked up as we talked, and I noticed the flared ends at the bottom, which wasn’t something I picked up at first. The ends create this illusion of the pants being a long skirt, which is really nice.

The floral pattern was very beautiful. Something I also didn’t pick up until I got a closer look was the shorts.  I thought this created a nice addition because it’s summer; shorts are always a go-to summer look. This is one way to have that look while still being comfortable for class (the classroom can get very cold).

To go along with her outfit, she wore a white crop top from Topshop.  The tie-off in the center was very cute and added a nice touch to the outfit. I like how it contrasts with the pants to just make her entire look pop.  Her tan, thong sandals are from Charlotte Russe. Tan is a nice color to add when you want to balance everything out as well; it’s a nice neutral color. The anklet that she wore added a nice touch to the outfit as well. At first glance, I thought it was a part of the sandal.

Her style advice for the week was very simple: be yourself.
