Fall season has officially arrived, but living in the Rio Grande Valley leaves us with summer weather for a few months longer than others. Sleeveless tanks and sandals still make an appearance through December due to the unpredictability of our weather. Though we’re still dealing with the summer heat, it doesn’t mean you can’t start showing off some fall fashion!
This fellow Fashionista is wearing a pair of on-trend teal tuxedo-striped pants which have been seen on Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevigne and one of my favorite fashionable women—Olivia Palermo. You can take the polished route and look for a pair of trousers or keep it casual with denim versions. It’s totally up to you, but I would recommend picking up a pair of both to get the most wear you can!
This Fashionista mixes feminine and downtown edge with her knotted lace top that has an edgy faux leather collar. The mix of these two contrasting fabrics has been seen on the runway for this fall and can easily be transitioned into next spring. You can find variations of the leather-lace trend in tops (short sleeve and long sleeve), dresses and of course you can always use separates to achieve the look.
The brutal heat doesn’t cut us much slack heading into fall, but just because it’s scorching out doesn’t mean you have to stick to revealing summer clothing. My advice to you is to go out there, buy a few suitable fall items and keep your fabric choices light.
