A word came to mind when I spotted this Fashionisto: debonair. As the weather continues to plummet and we begin pulling out the gloves and winter gear, this Fashionisto exemplifies that although we are bundling up in this cold weather, there can be elegance to dressing for this time of year.
The oxblood knit scarf stuck out to me when I saw this Fashionisto. Oxblood was huge for women last fall but as we slip into winter I have seen the oxblood color in a lot of menswear. Fashionistos, don’t fear the scarf, it is your friend. A woven scarf especially in a lovely brooding maroon shade exudes confidence. If you are an especially bold Fashionisto then an eternity scarf from Urban Outfitters could be perfect for you.
A great way of bringing in a bolder or adventurous piece into your style is pairing it with a classic and elegant garment. The pairing of the maroon scarf with the gray double-breasted peacoat was a fabulous move by this Fashionisto. The gray color is a great way of bringing in another color without taking away from the pop of the scarf. It is these two tones coming together that create the suave look.
The Fashionisto completes the look with black dress pants, a tie and some awesome dress shoes. The detailing on the shoes gives a sharp yet vintage feel to the overall look. As the weather cools down, don’t be dragged down by your layers. Take a note from this Fashioinisto and have your winter wardrobe be a polished and charming style.
