STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Street Meets Dapper

When it comes to men’s fashion, two of my favorite styles are classic dapper menswear, and street style menswear.  Why not have the best of both worlds and have the two harmonize like yin and yang? The look is perfect for on-the-go and in between events. I captured this Fashionista during New York Fashion Week when she chose to dress formally while staying comfortable on her feet.

The Fashionista starts her look off with a classic black blazer, crisp white shirt and a fun polka-dot tie. The monochromatic tailored look is paired with the Fashionista’s secret and one of her most comfortable piece of clothing: handmade pajama pants from Burma. The effortless loose fabric from the pants dresses down the look on top with ease. Her long, camel coat adds a warm neutral to the dark ensemble while creates beautiful movement as she wears it on and off. She wraps her street style meets dapper game with a fresh pair of adidas Stan Smith, a cozy beanie and tortoise Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Aside from her unique collaborated styles look, the Fashionista is also a strong example of women in menswear. I believe one who truly loves fashion would understand it is unlimited with incredible choices of style and how anyone should dress freely the way that appeals to their vision and aesthetic.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I wanted to experiment with ties while staying true to my street style. So I found these pants that are handmade. They are very comfortable when I’m on the go and don’t look sloppy if you style them right.”
