STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Springing into April

April 12th, 2016 at 2:00am

Entering the first few weeks of spring here in Rhode Island, we face the challenge of picking the perfect outfit to match the up and downs of New England weather. From the gusts of wind to the unpredictable temperature, Fashionistas on campus find themselves looking for a way to dress appropriately for all types of spring weather.

This Fashionista exceeded all expectations for the perfect early spring ensemble. She steered away from the typical go-to sundress trend on campus (because, let’s face it, it’s a bit too windy on campus to wear a dress just yet) and paired pink pastel colored pants with a colorful, spring top and sandals—making it a perfect combination for class.

Our Fashionista paired a fun, printed tank from Anthropologie with pink pastel colored jeans. Her navy sandals, which can be paired with anything, tie the look together by making it more casual and perfect for spring weather. She adder simple, everyday jewelry including three Mantra Band bracelets to the look as well. If the weather is unpredictable, this Fashionista could have easily paired this outfit with a sweater for extra warmth if necessary.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My spring style advice of the week is to add a lot of color into every outfit. By adding a pop of color, you can brighten not only your day, but others’ day too. Also, add in some staple jewelry items such as bracelets or simple necklaces to add to your outfit a bit.”
