STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Spring Kicks

Spring has finally arrived in Oneonta! After a couple of dreary and rainy weeks, we’ve finally gotten our dosage of vitamin D. Although the sun is out, there’s still a little bit of a windchill.

Fashionistas/os are often weather confused and unsure how to dress. It’s hard to know when to break out the flip flops and shorts. The sun is deceiving and if you throw on a pair of shorts without checking the temperature first, you’ll definitely be regretting it on your walk to class.

So what’s the perfect solution for the in-between of flip flops and boots? This Fashionista nailed it right on the head with a pair of adorable Keds. These shoes are definitely a trend that has made a major comeback. When it’s just a little too cold to show the toes a closed toe light sneaker can do the trick. Sneakers like these carry very little weight. Ultimately you’ll feel like you’re not wearing anything on your feet, making you feel fun and free throughout the day.

By pairing these Keds with a light sweater and pair of leggings, this Fashionista completes an effortless spring ensemble. Her casual look is perfect to go almost anywhere on campus. Her friends in the library, in class and in the dining hall will be sure to crave this easy look.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I always choose comfort first. When sitting in class, the last thing I want to be wearing is a stiff outfit with no ease.”
