STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Spring Is Coming

Fans of Game of Thrones, we no longer want winter. We will be screaming, “spring is coming!” The winter wonderland needs to melt. Fashionistas need to start packing away their winter clothing. If we keep dressing in sweatshirts and big bulky winter jackets, the snow will never know that it needs to go away. The sun needs to come out and greet us with its warmth. I want to be able to walk out my door and smell the flowers in the morning. I want to be able to drive with all the windows down while singing to my music. But, the one thing I want to be able to do is wear a dress and not feel goose bumps rising up my body from the chilly wind.

This fabulous Fashionista knows exactly what I am talking about when I state that we need to get rid of our winter clothes. Though there is still snow on the ground, this will not stop the Fashionista from wearing what she wants. She is rocking a floral shirt dress. The reason I love her dress is because that it is not a solid color nor is it the typical skater or fit and flare dress. She makes the dress her own because she pairs it with a black knit sweater. The bottom part of the dress looks like a skirt, but the collar is popping through the top of her sweater. Because it is still a bit chilly outside, she layers a pair of sheer black tights underneath the dress. On top of her tights, she has on a pair of black socks peeping through her heeled ankle booties. I thought the socks were a cute addition to the outfit. Although it blends in with the pantyhose, sitting near her would allow you to see the socks. Her Ray-Ban tortoise shell eyeglasses are a great accessory. She wraps it all up with a statement necklace that is clasped underneath the collar.

Since the day I have met this Fashionista, I can’t help but smell spring in the air! This Fashionista does an amazing job rocking a dress during the winter by layering up. My favorite thing about her ensemble is that she doesn’t layer up with big, bulky jackets to keep her outfit from being seen.
