Style Advice of the Week

Spring is here, finally. It’s time to break out those colorful pieces of clothing that sit in the back of your closet all winter. By the look of the bold colors on campus, the Fashionistas/os on Hofstra’s campus are definitely ready for the warmer weather.

This Fashionista’s pink blazer is what really caught my eye. I love this bold and bright colored blazer since I always associate blazers in boring tones for business casual looks. However, this Fashionista proves blazers are not just for the business world. The color of this blazer makes the piece much more casual and perfect to wear to class.

This spring statement necklaces continue to be all the rage. This Fashionista is wearing a bright pink J.Crew inspired bubble necklace. This necklace was bought at Charlotte Russe for about $15 where as the original one from J.Crew was $150. Can you say total bargain? The statement necklace looks so great and pops against the white chiffon tank top. Also for accessories, this Fashionista is wearing a chunky gold bangle. The gold matches perfectly with the hardware on her bag and the detailing on her boots.

Instead of a typical backpack, this Fashionista carries a Michael Kors Hamilton Tote Bag. This bag is so cute and also practical because she is able to fit all of her everyday class essentials in there.

Although riding boots may be more of a fall and winter shoe, in New York you can still get away with wearing boots until at least the end of March. We all may be ready for spring sandals, but the weather still gets a little chilly. Just wait, in no time the Fashioniatas/os at Hofstra will be rocking all different types of shorts, skirts, tank tops and sandals!
