STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Spring Fever

As we welcome a new month and blossoming flowers, we figure new ways to dress according to the weather. Since it is getting warmer, wearing light and colorful clothes will keep you comfortable and trendy this spring. This Fashionista is demonstrating how to stay cool in the warm weather while looking hot! The key to staying fashionable during this season is floral prints. Floral prints originated in Japan. Flowers were woven into bright, colorful clothing. They were also created in beautiful embroideries. They were mainly on robes and were a symbol for the royal family.

This Fashionista is rocking a sweet kimono with a simple pair of blue jeans. With the temperature slowly increasing, kimonos are the perfect outerwear to keep you in style and not too hot! What’s special about this kimono is that it has lace cut outs on the shoulders. Lace is very stylish right now and can be worn in any season. This Fashionista brightens up the look with her adorable white Keds. Keds are great for any occasion, and they keep the look cute and casual! The weather is warm enough to go outside and take a walk or even go running. If you are going to be active then why not keep track of it? FitBits are totally in and can be seen on wrists around campus year-round.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My main focus on fashion is comfort. Kimonos are flowy and chic. You can wear them for any occasion and dress them up with the right accessories!”
