Style Advice of the Week

Nothing says summer like a sundress. Known for both comfort and class, sundresses are the optimal option for summertime evenings when we want to stay cool in the setting summer sun.

I’ve always been a fan of the sundress and have been seeing a multitude of styles on the streets since the start of the summer season. What makes one stand out from the other is all in the accessories of the Fashionista sporting the style of dress.

With that said, the key to personalizing your style of sundress is in how you accessorize. I spotted this Fashionista in a loose, breezy, leopard print sundress in Tompkins Square Park. The way she accessorized her dress is what stood out to me. Donning a ponytail and a petite shoulder bag, she turned her sundress sporty in a way that works by pairing it with a basic baseball cap and chic, platform sneakers in a lush cream color.

Recreate this Fashionista’s on trend sundress look with a loose, chiffon dress in an animal print or any pattern. Reach the pinnacle of comfort by pairing it with platform sneakers in a light summer color. Add your favorite team’s baseball cap (if you’re into that at all) and a shoulder bag to complete the look.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t be afraid to accessorize a dress with your everyday accessories. I always wear a baseball cap and sneakers, so nothing stopped me from pairing them with my dress for a casual, daytime look!”
