STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sporty Aesthetic

Los Angeles, one of the few places where it is socially acceptable to be wearing your fitness gear out all day. Printed T-shirts, sweat shorts and classic sneakers are fashion staples that can be seen around the streets of LA. We all have places to be: work, school, appointments, lunch with friends and 7:00 p.m. boxing class. To complete our to-do list, comfort is a priority. According to FashionBeans, this summer the fashion industry has put a spotlight on athleisure wear. The trend has permitted for Fashionistas/Fashionistos everywhere to focus less on getting ready and more time to get stuff done. This Fashionisto shows us how to do athleisure right and adds a twist to make this style his own.

The Fashionisto is wearing a printed collared shirt from BAPE that plays with the idea of teaming up professional and comfort together. He wore knee length gray shorts to play down the collar and focus more on the sporty aesthetic. The Fashionisto is a fan of the brand Supreme and is wearing their classic cap and Supreme Nike Air Max ’98s. You can buy similar sneakers here and here. Sneakers are great staples to have in your closet because they are comfortable and look good with everything.

This Fashionisto added his personal touch to the outfit by wearing golden grills. This accessory shows that the Fashionisto likes to make his own fashion rules, which is incredibly admirable.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: “Focus on the high-low contrast. Next time you wear your athletic sneakers and gym clothes, wear a leather jacket to make a statement.”
